STRIVING FOR TEACHING SUCCESS: Enhancing Emotional Intelligence in Pre-Service Teachers

The high-level demands placed on classroom teachers pose the potential to compromise personal coping resources and increase stress and risk for burnout. EI [Emotional Intelligence] has been shown to significantly influence a tolerance for stress such that higher EI is linked to lower occupational stress as well as improved psychological and physical health.
